New Tax Form Requirement
October 2007

Some Chapters have received a notice for a new electronic form that may need to be filed. This letter is only a Notice. The IRS is developing an electronic filing system and will publicize filing procedures when the system is completed and ready for use. There will be no paper form. Nothing needs to be done NOW; but the chapters MUST KEEP A COPY OF THE LETTER. If and when they need to file, they will need the information that appears in the upper right corner of the letter. We will update you when more information is available.

IRS E Postcard Instructions

All,

I have many had questions concerning the letters and postcards some chapters have gotten about filing the Form 990-N (e-Postcard). The direction I have received from region A is that we the chapters need to comply and file the form which is done electronically. At this time the IRS does not have a way of doing it by paper, so it will have to be done by following the instructions provided in the attachment. I will be following this closely and updating everyone when I get more. When you have filed this please send me an E-Mail letting me know it was accomplished.
